Acqua Di Gio

This project explored the intersection of AI-generated humans and cinematic CGI to reimagine the world of Acqua Di Giò through a modern visual lens. Roughly half of the visuals were created entirely with AI—used not as a shortcut, but as a tool for exploration, mood, and human presence. The remaining elements, including the perfume bottle itself, were crafted in Cinema 4D, grounding the piece in realism and material precision.

One of the most compelling aspects of this project was building humans through AI—faces that feel present, expressive, and emotionally grounded. These AI-generated figures became vessels for atmosphere rather than focal characters, allowing the visuals to feel lived-in without overpowering the product. The integration of AI wasn’t about spectacle; it was about subtlety—using technology to support elegance rather than distract from it.

Process

& Storytelling

There was no traditional storyboard for this project. Instead, the narrative emerged organically through the edit. All compositing and pacing were handled in After Effects, with sound design and final audio polish completed in Adobe Audition. The story was shaped through rhythm, contrast, and restraint—letting imagery lead rather than forcing structure. This approach allowed the visuals to breathe and evolve naturally, mirroring the understated confidence of the fragrance itself.

At its core, this project was about honoring the identity of Giorgio Armani—a brand defined by minimalism, clarity, and timeless masculinity. Acqua Di Giò has always represented purity, balance, and a deep connection to nature. This visual interpretation translated those values into a contemporary format, blending AI and CGI to craft a refined, cinematic experience that feels modern while remaining true to the brand’s legacy.
