Michelob Ultra

× FIFA World Cup 26

This spec piece imagines a meeting of two icons: Michelob Ultra and the FIFA World Cup 26. Every frame was built in Cinema 4D: the bottle, the trophy, the pitch and the stadium. The goal was a short film where the product turns into the trophy, and condensation becomes liquid gold.

Liquid

Gold

The idea at the center of the project is one continuous change. The camera moves in close on the ice-cold bottle, through the beads of condensation and the amber glow of the beer. The liquid then becomes molten gold, which takes shape as the World Cup trophy. Gold particles carry each beat into the next, so the bottle and the trophy read as one idea rather than two products side by side. I designed the lighting around contrast: deep blacks with highlights cutting through, so every droplet and every curve of the gold catches the light.

Process

& Storytelling

The piece was built around macro detail and scale. Tight shots on the glass, label and liquid give it a tactile feel. They then open up to the hero frame on the pitch, under the stadium lights, with the ball, the bottle and the trophy together. All compositing, pacing and the final logo resolve were done in After Effects. Sound design was done in Adobe Audition, timed so the spray of particles and the reveal of the trophy hit with weight.

At its core, this project was about pairing Michelob Ultra, a brand built on performance and the joy of the game, with the biggest stage in sport. The World Cup stands for the highest point of achievement, and Michelob Ultra has long been tied to celebrating the moments around it. This piece brings those two worlds together in a premium, cinematic look built for a global audience and the World Cup 26 moment.
